The Committee of Materials Science and Metallurgy of the Polish Academy of Sciences took patronage over the organization and course of a conference dedicated to electron microscopy, as one of the basic cognitive tools for the microstructure, phase consitution and chemical composition of metallic, ceramic, biological materials and polymers.
The conference is organized by the Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Polish Microscopy Society and the COTI Conference company.

The Materials Engineering Forum is a new formula of inter-university scientific seminars and small workshops under the patronage of the Materials Engineering and Metallurgy Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Materials Science Society.
The aim of Forum is further integration of the scientific community working in the field of Materials Engineering. The initiative was undertaken by three universities: the Warsaw University of Technology, the AGH University of Science and Technology, the Silesian University of Technology and also by the Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

- EMAS 2021 - 17th European Workshop on Modern Developments and Applications in Microbeam Analysis 16 - 20 May 2021, Krakow, Poland
Bearing in mind all precautions regarding Sars Cov-2 pandemia and taking into account the safeness of participants, today, during European Microbeam Analysis Society Board Meeting, all members of the Board voted unanimously to postpone the EMAS 2021 - 17th European Workshop on Modern Developments and Applications in Microbeam Analysis, preliminary planned from 16th to 20th of May 2021, to the new date, mainly: from 7th of May (Saturday) to 11th of May (Wednesday) 2022. The venue, i.e. Jagiellonian University Auditorium Maximum as well as the scientific programme of the workshop remain unchanged.
